Margaret River 3 Hour MTB Skills Group Lesson

From AUD $140.00
  • Duration: 3 Hours (approx.)
  • Location: Margaret River, WA
  • Product code: PQGNEN
These lessons are small group sessions, with 8 riders being the maximum group size. Each lesson will focus on one or two skill subjects, depending on what the assessment shows up as being needed, and what you're wanting to achieve. The core skill subjects are:
  • Operation Control i.e. braking (foundational skill)
  • Body Position (foundational skill)
  • Scanning and Line Choice (foundational skill)
  • Body movements for Cornering (foundational skill)
  • Managing Pressure i.e. pumping or absorption (foundational skill)

Some of the typical maneuvers or features these can be applied to are:

  • Cornering
  • Jumping
  • Drops
  • Carrying speed
  • Rock gardens
  • Race Craft
  • Lots more... please ask us

For the more advanced riders, we drill down deeper into the foundational skills that play key roles in successfully sending the advanced maneuvers mentioned above. If you are into your racing, our coaches are successful and experienced competitors themselves, so can run the lesson from a racing perspective. We have coached competitive cross country, enduro and downhill riders, who race at a local level right up to national level.

For the beginner to intermediate skill level riders, we focus on the foundational skills the bring more stability, control, confidence and therefor fun, into your riding. We've all been there and know how we'll these techniques work. No matter how experienced you are, it always pays to revisit these foundational skills regularly.

What Else Is There To Know?

An even spread of skill level in the group works best, however if some of your riding mates are at a different skill level, our qualified skill coaches can assist and up-skill a beginner/moderate level mountain biker, while still challenging an experienced mountain biker. If the skill set spread is too great in the wider booking group, we'll contact you to sort something out.

There are some questions in the booking process to help us understand where each rider is at in terms of skill level, which helps us plan the session.

Mountain biking is all about being out in nature, which also means conditions are impossible to predict and out of our control. If we have to cancel due to unsafe conditions or unfavourable weather and you can't reschedule, we will refund your fee.

There is a hire agreement to sign on the day that deals with any damages caused by the client during the session. There are two options if any damage is done.

1. We will keep your credit card details and charge your credit card for any damages. Your credit card details will be returned to you after the session or tour has finished.

2. Pay a $75 insurance fee which is non-refundable if no damage occurs. The risk of damage is low but can be expensive, so this option limits that risk and is available in the 'Optional Extras'.

If there's no damage done, there's no extra cost.
